About MD U. Lanz
MD Ulrich Lanz is one of the most renowned shoulder experts in Austria and specializes in the conservative and surgical treatment of shoulder injuries and shoulder diseases. He performs hundreds of shoulder surgeries annually and has an extensive network of therapists and specialists who support his expertise and experience. Due to his international education he is one of the few surgeons in Austria who specialize in arthroscopic and open techniques in shoulder surgery.
MD Ulrich Lanz worked for many years as a senior physician, most recently in the Orthopedic Hospital Speising, where he built a new team as a special team leader shoulder. In mid-2016 he moved to the practice and in April 2019 he founded the Sports Orthopedics Center in Hietzing.
He advises international companies in the field of medical technology and acts as a consultant for the market launch of innovative orthopedic products.
As a member of the shoulder committee and instructor of the Society of Arthroscopy and Joint Surgery (AGA), he also conducts shoulder instruction courses on an international level and gives talks, workshops and trainings. In addition, he regularly publishes specialist papers in the highest category of relevant specialist literature.
Since 2014, MD Ulrich Lanz supervising team doctor of the Daviscup team, he also oversees the Austrian athletics national team in training and national and international fights.
In 2019 shoulder specialist and sports orthopedist MD Ulrich Lanz appointed to the tournament doctor of the ATP 500 Erste Bank Open.
