About MD M. Wlk
MD Matthias Wlk completed his doctorate in 1998 at the Medical Faculty in Vienna and completed his specialist training at the Orthopedic Hospital Speising from 2002 to 2006.
Already in 2006 MD Wlk the first Wahlarztordination in the 21st district of Vienna, since 2011 another one has been added in the 23rd district.
After several stays abroad, combined with educational, research & clinical activities in both the US and the UK, MD Ing. Wlk was appointed Senior Physician of the Orthopedic Department of the Sacred Heart Hospital in Vienna in 2007; from 2011 to 2019 he was in charge of the Hand Surgery Department.
Due to his complementary professional activity between outpatient and ordinant work from the beginning on, MD Wlk has extensive experience and a wide range of diagnostics and treatment options.
Depending on the patient, he weighs as a holistically trained orthopedist between a conservative treatment and a surgical procedure.
MD Wlk is a specialist in the field of upper extremity and endoprosthetics (hip, knee), hand and rheumatic surgery as well as various sports injuries and provides in the field of pain therapy with conservative and innovative treatments for an operation-free therapy.
