Welcome to the website of the Albertinen Heart and Vascular Center. We look forward to informing you about our wide range of services in cardiology, cardiac surgery, cardiac anesthesia and vascular medicine. Cardiology has a special focus on diagnostics and interventional treatment of coronary heart disease using all modern techniques. Cardiac MRI, echocardiography, cardiac CT and other specialized examination methods are available.
A department for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias and another Department for the treatment of heart failure and the implantation of cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators each offer an individual therapy at the highest level.
Cardiac Surgery offers all modern surgical techniques from coronary surgery to heart valve repair and valve replacement, as well as the treatment of complex aortic aneurysms to the implantation of cardiac support systems.
A special focus of cardiac surgery is the treatment of coronary heart disease by means of a complete arterial bypass supply exclusively with both chest wall arteries. Here, the Albertinen Heart and Vascular Center occupies a leading position in Germany with a rate of 95% of complete arterial coronary operations.
Within cardiac surgery, there is a special Department of Cardiac Anesthesia. Thus, all operations are performed exclusively by specialists with many years of experience in the field of cardiac anesthesia.
In the area of cardiac surgery, there is also a department for the percutaneous treatment of valvular heart disease using interventional techniques. The heart team, which is always made up of a cardiologist, cardiac surgeon and cardiac anesthetist, will find the best treatment method for each individual patient.
