HELIOS Hospital Berlin-Buch is a modern tertiary care hospital with more than 1,000 beds in 24 departments, six institutes and an emergency care centre with a helicopter landing deck. Every year, more than 51,000 inpatients and over 110,000 outpatients are treated here with high medical and nursing standards in diagnosis and therapy by interdisciplinary specialists, especially in interdisciplinary centres such as the Breast Centre, the Bowel Centre, the Perinatal Centre, the Stroke Unit and the Chest Pain Unit. The hospital is certified by the German Cancer Society as an Oncology Centre and by the German Diabetes Association as a "Specialised Centre for Diabetes Care".
