The essence of method consists in transplanting follicular groups to bald spots. The patient's own hairs are used as the donor material. Transplanting takes place in groups of follicles from 2 to 4 pieces.
Surgery is performed under local anesthesia. A doctor operates manually, carefully removing follicles. Timing of donor material extraction depends on baldness extensiveness. The exact number of donor hair required for transplantation is digitally calculated in advance. The donor material is removed from the side or back of the head, where there is no hair loss. Follicles hooked in micro cuts where they successfully take root, thanks to the donor's own material.
The rehabilitation period lasts up to a week. The technique is safe and suitable for most patients.
Unlike the previous method where transplantation is carried manually, system ARTAS allows to extract material by a robot. The advantage of this method is faultlessness of the robot’s actions.
