The health insurance AOK has evaluated over several years data. A total of 39 hospitals from Saxony are awesome.
The Asklepios Clinic in Radeberg is one of the best in Germany for hip joint surgery. This certifies the health insurance AOK the house. When inserting an artificial hip joint or operations after a hip fracture, ie a fracture of the hip, the Radeberger ranks among the best 20 percent in the national comparison.
The AOK experts evaluated data from 2014 to 2016 and follow-up from 2017. The examinations are carried out since 2008 by the Scientific Institute of local health insurance (WIdO). The basis for this is the billing data, which clinics provide to the health insurances and are evaluated in anonymous form by the WIdO. Nationally published ratings cover eight areas of performance, ranging from the insertion of artificial knee and hip joints to removal of the gallbladder and appendix, as well as prostate surgery. In all, 39 hospitals from Saxony rank among the top 20 percent in a national comparison in at least one performance area.
