About University Clinic of Hanover
We welcome you at the medical School of Hannover. The University Clinic was founded in 1965, and is one of the biggest university medical centres in Germany, part of a regional medical network. Right from the start, scientific excellence have played an important role at Hannover Medical School (MHH). Scientists and physicians from all parts of Germany are involved in a wide variety of research projects at the MHH and partner institutes.
The University Hospital has 90 stations with 1,518 beds (2013). In 2013 58.943 had surgeries at our clinic. The outpatient unit, represented with 35 polyclinics witnesses 452 783 patients annually. The MHH is Germany’s largest transplant center. In 2012 423 transplants were carried out here.
