Founded in 1993, our state-of-the-art institution is one of the largest centers of expertise in retinal diseases and eye surgery in Europe.
We provide medical services to patients from all over Germany and many other countries of the world. Our goal is to offer the most modern operations on the eyes, mainly on an outpatient basis, in order to guarantee the highest possible chances of success while avoiding pain. Nowhere else, except in our innovative clinic, has it been so convincingly and convincingly demonstrated that even the most complex eye surgery without inpatient inpatient care is not only easily possible, but for patients suffering from this disease usually has a huge advantage.
On the one hand, we offer patients with difficult and unusual eye diseases a wide range of special methods of examination and treatment, especially for the posterior segment of the eye. These include ultrasound, fluorescein angiography, OCT and various laser devices.
On the other hand, it is an outpatient polyclinic institution, the capabilities and range of which correspond to the capabilities of a large ophthalmologic clinic. Thus, not only cataract surgery is performed on an outpatient basis, but also usually very complex operations on the retina and vitreous body, from the simplest retinal detachment to the most complex ophthalmic operations: operations with age-related macular degeneration. In addition, the operation of glaucoma and strabismus is performed without the usual hospital stay.
For many years, the scientific and highly professional medical team has been actively involved in research and training, both domestically and abroad, which ensures the sustainability of the company's high quality standards.
Since 01/01/1994, from the beginning of the operational activity, about 85,000 ophthalmologic operations have been performed in the ophthalmologic clinic. From the outset, the focus was on operations for diseases of the retina and vitreous body (almost 27,000 procedures). These very complex and complex operations account for almost half of all operations. In 2017, more than 1,000 operations of this type were performed, and the fact that the whole range of operations on the retinal vitreous body from the simplest vitrectomy to the most complex procedure (macula rotation) is offered, our clinic is one of the most experienced institutions of this type in Europe.
