Our Department of Cardiology provides a complete invasive and non-invasive diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases. The medical range of services includes inpatient care in general ward, in the monitoring station and inpatient support.
We offer individual comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of all diseases of the cardiovascular system. The capacities of our modern cardiac catheterization labs and a well-equipped intensive care unit are tailored for the needs of patients with acute heart disorders.
In addition to the cardiac catheter examination the imaging equipment of the latest generation are available for the precise diagnostics. Focus is on the treatment of narrowing of the coronary vessels by balloon dilatation and stenting (stents) and in the pacemaker therapy. Since 2006, we have partnered with the departments of radiology and vascular surgery for an interdisciplinary cooperation.
In addition to non-invasive method of cardiological-rhythmologischen diagnostics including 12-lead ECG, stress ECG, the following services for rhythmus optimisation are available:
In close cooperation with the Department of Radiology, we offer services in the field of computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Both methods provide important precondition for the non-invasive diagnostic cardiology. Being our patient you also get access to:
The department currently has two cardiac catheterization labs, where both diagnostic coronary angiography, as well as therapeutic catheter interventions on coronary arteries and of the aortic and mitral valves are performed. We also offer in addition to the implantation of modern stent systems (drug-coated stent) all interventional procedures including rotablation, special re-opening procedure in chronic vascular occlusions. Atround 4000 catheterizations are performed in-house per year.
