About MD T. Schmid
In the course of life, the female body is faced with various challenges, most of which it is able to address easily and intuitively. There are, however, certain female health risks, which can be minimised by preventive care and targeted treatment. At our practice we carry out smaller and larger diagnostic and surgical procedures using minimally-invasive techniques, our gentle procedures providing for your maximum safety.
For 25 years we have been focussing on the continuous further development of endoscopic interventions, carrying out minimally-invasive laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. The tissue-sparing procedure involves only little pain and allows for a high degree of surgical safety as well as for quick recovery. As a result of our long-standing expertise, our state-of-the-art technical equipment, our excellent anaesthesia team and flawless hygiene, most of our patients can leave the practice quickly after the intervention, after just a short recovery time.
Fortunately the days where female complaints were trivialized or treated using highly invasive surgical procedures - often quite late – are over. Today, thorough preventive care, precise diagnostics and in many cases just minor interventions have a large effect and result in excellent treatment success. Every single day in our gynaecological practice we observe how experience and modern techniques allow us to perform smaller or larger surgical interventions to diagnose, treat and heal female diseases at an early stage, in a safe and gentle manner.
At our practice, the diagnosis, treatment and healing of specific gynaecological disorders is based on extensive experience and know-how as well as on state-of-the-art medical procedures. Dr. med. Torsten Schmidt is a highly qualified gynaecologist who provides for optimal individual outpatient or inpatient care for each patient. The systematic use of minimally-invasive surgical techniques, based on the highest specialist standards (MIC III), allows for both, a high degree of safety and short postoperative recovery periods.
