Center of Endoscopic Diagnostics in Department of Internal Medicine has a high-tech base for the diagnosis of various diseases. New technologies make it possible to diagnose using minimally invasive technique tp penetration into the abdominal cavity, and the study of internal organs with an endoscope, which is a flexible telescopic tube which could be introduced into hardly accessible areas and provide information on the state of internal organs to a surgeon, who performs diagnosis, in the form of increased digital images displayed on the monitor. At the Center the latest endoscopic technique, Push-and-Pull, applies for the diagnosis of the intestine, as well as a variety of biliary tract research methods.
With Aloka ultrasonic device used in combination with an endoscope it is possible to perform not only conventional ultrasound examination, but also to obtain biopsy material for histological examination, for example, from the liver, and make drainage of abscesses.
Functional bowel diagnostics, respiratory composition analysis are carried out in the center with the help of the various tests.
